One of Evan's long time wishes is to take the Caltrain all the way to San Francisco. James and I have been contemplating how to make it happen for a while now and even though we couldn't ride the train there, we managed to ride it one-way from San Francisco to Mountain View.
It involved the whole family driving to SF first and after spending half a day at the Exploratorium, James dropped Evan and me off at SF Caltrain station while he drove back with Nathan and Logan so he can pick us up back at San Antonio station.
It was truly a dream come true for Evan! After getting tickets we even bought a snack at the train station before boarding our train for a full experience. The ride itself was a little over an hour and Evan did great. We only changed seats maybe 3 times :) Leaving San Francisco was most exciting since Evan had never been on those tracks before. There were a couple of tunnels and the ride was quite scenic and relaxing. I very much enjoyed it too :)
