He was asking to be carried ("妈妈抱"). As I bend over to lift my 30+ lb bunder of joy up, I said to him, "You're getting so heavy Evan, what are you going to do when mommy can't carry you anymore?"
Evan actually replied: "Daddy 抱!" ("Daddy carry")
I was shocked (woah, you actually understood me?) and amused at the same time. That little fella knows a lot more than we give him credit for.
