Looks like our laziest baby in the world has finally decided to get off his butt. In the last couple weeks, he's surprised us a couple of times by popping up in places that we didn't expect him to be. Most of the time he's still pretty happy sitting and staying put, but if he sees something of interest (like the stereo cabinet door open) then off he goes. He's super quick at crawling now but hasn't figured out that he move arms and legs together. He'd lift his body and throw both arms forward at the same time, slapping them on the floor in front of him ("thud") and then pull the legs forward one at a time ("scoot scoot"). So the rhythm goes "thud, scoot scoot, thud, scoot scoot", quite cute.
He's also managed to pull himself to standing a few times now, though I keep missing how he actually does it. A few times I've put him in his crib so I can go chase Nathan around, and when I come back I see Evan happily standing there holding onto the side of the crib.
